HISTORICAL CALENDAR OF THE SHRINE

1382, 9 August – bringing the Paulines to the Częstochowa hill; foundation of Prince Władysław Opolczyk.

1764 – the constitution of the coronation parliament publishes an official confirmation of the election of the Mother of God made by Jan Kazimierz and indicates the social approval of the dignity of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Queen of Poland.

1793 – the fortress of Jasna Góra is occupied by the Prussian army, Field Marshal Mólendort (Second Partition of Poland).

1817 – celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Coronation of the Miraculous Picture.

1830 – Jasna Góra materially supports the insurgents, and reminds the Queen of freedom. The Queen of Jasna Góra is more and more present in the life of a nation that does not approve of bondage.
